What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our website?

We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order, use Live Chat, Open a Support Ticket or enter information on our site. We also place reviews on our site which are submitted voluntarily and are not contingent on any service. Reviews may be submitted and posted anonymously.

Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible.

  • We use regular Malware Scanning.
  • Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit card information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
  • We implement a variety of security measures when a user enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.
  • All data processing and every page accessed on this website is authenticated and encrypted with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Certification.
  • Credit card data is collected and processed through a gateway provider and stored for automated billing purposes with a US-based-business-only merchant account.
    • This credit card information is not visible to Monterey Bay Design, accept via a tokenized system to process your payments.
    • Our merchant account and your data is protected in accordance with the PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and we have been awarded a CDG360 merchant seal of trust and approval for our methods and compliance.

Do we use 'cookies'?
Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. We use browser session cookies to collect your computer's IP address for security purposes and basic site functions. This cookie expires as soon as your browser is closed.

Google
We use Google Analytics on our website to collect and compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future

  • We anonymize IP tracking in Google Analytics
  • We do not collect data on demographics or interest

Opting out:
Users can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Settings page. Alternatively, you can opt out by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative Opt Out page or by using the Google Analytics Opt Out Browser add on.

Your Data is Yours and You Have Control
In complicance with the newest privacy laws in in Europe and the United States please note that your data is always in your complete control. With regard to your data, you have:

      • You may access this information on your own via your Client Area
      • You may contact us for assistance by email, phone, chat or support ticket
  • the right to rectification,

    • At any time, you may request a deletion of your personal information.
      • Service requires access to the information provided upon establishment of service. Therefore, any request to remove all user/account data will be interpreted as a request for immediate cancellation of services which may include website hosting, email hosting, domain registration, etc. Once deleted, this information cannot be retrieved.

US-Based Organization
We are a US-based business providing to, primarily, local businesses and individuals - and to those 99.9% in the US. We do not market to or intentionally track business outside the US.

How does our site handle Do Not Track signals?

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)
When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13 years old, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, United States' consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children's privacy and safety online.

We do not market to those under the age of 18 years old. As stated in our TOS, a user must be 18 years or older to register or own services on this site. If under 18, a parent or guardian must be the account holder.

The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles and how they should be implemented is critical to comply with the various privacy laws that protect personal information.

CAN-SPAM Act
